Mobile updates on Orkut?
A while ago I got a message on my mobile from “TM-Orkut”. It was a scrap written by a friend on my Orkut scrapbook. I suppose this means they’re trying out mobile updates. There’s nothing about this yet on the Orkut blog. Looking forward to this feature. Hope it comes soon.

Orkut? Who cares?
I’m sure many do. After all it’s the #1 social network in India & Brazil. Now, yahoo 360 or spotm.. that’s what people don’t care about
Say what you want about spotm (hell, i don’t give a damn), but i’m pretty sure FB has overtaken orkut as the fastest growing social network and it’ll soon eclipse that worthless useless website. Seriously, the last scrap i got was probably a few months back and even that probably was a “thank yous” from some guy whom i happened to wish on his birthday coz i was jobless. FB is so much more a place where you can waste your time, and hence sure to be more popular
social network is one area where user loyalty is high. I cannot leave orkut unless my whole list of friends leave orkut as well.
That said, it doesn’t mean that facebook cannot beat Orkut. Just that any shift will be slow and sure to be noticed by Google/Orkut.
