  pqwl means.if u book dindigul to chennai ticket in pqwl means you can get the confirm ticket from the dindigul quota cancellation only

  I have booked a ticket in irctc from maniyachi jn to Hosur on march 3 journey date is 10th april. it was PQWL 27. My friend also booked ticket for the same date between the same location on march 25, it was waiting list 65. he got the ticket confirmed while chart prepration. But my ticket is not confirmed. can any one clarify this.

  I booked 3rd AC ticket by Navjeevan Exp from Tenali to Surat in 90 days advance. I was allotted PQWL 2,3. Though the journey date is coming close (even after 80 days of ticket booking) waitlist has not come down by even to PQWL 1. Is there any possibility of my ticket getting confirmed? Shall I have to wail till the chart is prepared? Can anyone help me?

  It is not a confirmed ticket. There isn’t much of a chance of it getting confirmed. But one thing I’ve noticed is that most of the cancellations will happen within the last 48 hours before the journey. You will most likely get an RAC seat – which might actually fetch you a confirmed seat if you bug the TTE

  THATS WHY BOOK ONLY “GNWL” IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING CONFIRM OR RAC ICKET.

  WL 48 is hard to get. You might get it in RAC, but confirmed ticket is a long shot

  I have booked 2 First Class AC tickets today (05 Dec 2011). I will travel on 25 dec 2011 on AP Express from Hyderabad to Chandrapur.
  The ticket status is PQWL1 and PQWL2.
  I would like to know?
  - Till what date should I wait to see if the tickets get confirmed?
  - Do I need to cancel the tickets in case the status remains PQWL?
  - Is there any hope of gettting a confirmation? I need to know so that I can atleast make an alternative arrangement
